Life of the Party

What happens when life must start over?  Be the life of the party.

This film could best summarized with one word…”cute”.  As many moms and students are preparing for the freshman year of college, the scene in the bookstore of being college gear is completely relatable, but are we still doing the mean girl thing in college?

It is a great rainy weekend movie.  Definitely not Melissa McCarthy’s best.

From the desk of Dr. Dion Metzger:

“Life of the party” was more of an after-work mixer rather than an actual party. It’s something you went to out of obligation and didn’t enjoy it. It fell kind of flat for me. I love Melissa McCarthy and I’ve been faithfully going to her films since she made me holler in laughter in “Bridesmaids” (2011). The follow-up films have been hit or miss. She has had some funny ones including “Identity Thief” and “The Heat”.  Unfortunately, “Life of the party” is not in that crew and instead joins her other doozy “Tammy”. I say stream it but you’re probably not even going to finish it.
