What a tangled web we weave…

“Searching” had some plot twists, but missed the mark in the final 20 minutes.  It was disappointing and felt more like a Lifetime movie than a big-screen mystery.  Been there…done that.

Is it time for films attempting to qualify for awards season to start playing in theatres?

From the desk of Dr. Dion Metzger

What a suspenseful Apple commercial! All the phone and laptop scrolling of “Searching” kept my attention but would I call it a thrill ride? Nah. John Cho (Dad) just didn’t have the acting range to show the true terror of a dad with a missing child. The twist makes this worth watching at home but otherwise, this was at most a C+ for me…just slightly above average.
