The Wife

You can only stay silent for so long..

Glenn Close’s portrayal as Joan, the wife of novelist Joe Castleman rings true to many women who take a backseat and never live out their full potential.  It will hit close to home for some in their marriages, in their careers, or in public spaces.  Oscar nomination worthy this film and the acting is not; however, the story is good and engaging enough to watch at home.

From the desk of Dr. Metzger

I fell asleep in non-reclining chairs…nuff said. Man, that was boring. Glenn Close’s performance was not Oscar-worthy to me, but I slept through the last 30 minutes so maybe she killed it at the end 🤷🏽‍♀️
