“Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high…”

Renee Zellweger and Jessie Buckley gave strong performances as Judy Garland and Rosalyn Wilder bringing to life a run of her last performances in London.  Renee will most likely be nominated, and possibly win, the Academy for Best Actress this year. The Academy loves a tragic biopic. Her story and this film was tragic, difficult to watch, and was disjointed in several areas.  It was a long two hours.

From the desk of Dr. Dion Metzger

“Judy” was a sad story with way too many loose ends. Characters randomly danced their way in and out of the storyline with little follow-through. This film did not do Judy Garland justice and I’m sure Liza is sitting somewhere mad about this.
