JoJo Rabbit

‘Let everything happen to you. Beauty and terror. Just keep going. No feeling is final.’ Rainer Maria Rilke

Similar to director Wes Anderson’s films, it is the absurd that drives the underlying message.  Waititi does just that in “JoJo Rabbit”. The absurdity of the war and blind loyalty is countered by the beautiful costuming, lighting, and actors that show us that terror is not final. It is worth a stream.

From the desk of Dr. Dion Metzger

I’m seriously considering putting Nazi films in the same garbage can as the slavery genre. Even if it’s satire, I can never find humor in hateful comments about ethnicity. The kids were cute though and costume design was impressive. That’s pretty much all the nice I can say about “Jojo Rabbit”. I didn’t like it and this is likely my first and last time watching this film.
